Beyond the Break – a book by Kristen Mae
I decided to do something a little different this time, and did a video review! Loved this book.

Those of you who have read Beyond the Break know it is OVERFLOWING WITH MUSIC. So I made a playlist so you can listen to all the classical works from the book!
A few fun facts:
The Vaughn-Williams, the “Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis” — Originally, during the open air concert with the traveling orchestra, it was the first scene where Claire went after Hazel. In the first draft, she slides her hand right on up Hazel’s leg under the blanket–all the way–and Hazel doesn’t stop her. LOL oh my.
The Sibelius Violin Concerto is the piece Hazel listened to in her living room when she was going crazy and clawing the skin off her thighs. That opening, tho. DAYUM. ALL THE FEELS.
The Puccini quartet, “Crisantemi,” was one that I felt right along with Hazel. It goes with that quote “How strange that I’d grieved the loss of Claire before I’d ever laid a hand on her, though I suppose that’s all requited lust is: the loss of something we never possessed to begin with.”
It KILLS me, you guys, even now.
I hope you all enjoy this!
